With rubber reins
A lot of emphasis is put on saddle comfort without much thought to bridle comfort. There can be no doubt that fitting the noseband strap over rather than under the headpiece and padding the poll area avoids placing harmful pressure on the vulnerable underlying soft tissues.
Tight uncomfortable bridles cause many horses to have a miserable ride particularly when schooling and competing. Conventional bridles often sit too close to the horse's ears, 'cutting' in to them when a contact is taken up. The leverage then created by the rider's hands down the reins is substantial by the time it reaches the poll. The discomfort can then be considerable when a bit is added and when the bridle is of combination or Grackle design.
Made from high quality, soft leather.
Reduces painful poll pressure and irritation caused by conventional bridles.
Specially made with soft foam insert as the padding.
To be used with care - Grackle noseband bridles are restrictive and can cause harm if the horse has any underlying injury to the soft tissues of the mouth, head and neck, for example from sharp teeth.
