Product Code: HW001
Useful for strains, sprains and inflammation in the lower limbs.  Arthritis, degenerative joint disease, ringbone, sidebone, splints, tendon strain, suspensory ligament strain.

Award winning usual Horseware high quality innovation product to help treat strains, sprains, inflammation, splints, tendon, suspensory injuries, osteoarthritis, in fact any lower limb condition where your vet has prescribed control of circulation - a hot/cold therapy boot/leg wrap which simultaneously gives an intermittent vibrating massage.  Compared with other cold therepies, on test, this wrap does not get damagingly cold because of the dual action of cold and massage.

Offered for a limited time with a free therapy DVD - Performance Grooming by Veterinary Physiotherapist Caroline Lindsay (see our DVD section) worth £25 and which will guide you through a whole body therapy routine that you can do as you groom, to help make your equine patient feel better all over!

Specialised compression/cold/heat therapy leg wraps contain cold/heat packs to soothe aches and pains to the lower leg combined with a massage function to promote circulation.

Use before or after exercise or during rehabilitation.
Stimulates blood flow to the lower limbs during box rest.

Cold packs reduce blood flow slowing down inflammation whilst the movement created by the massaging effect similar to exercise can help to stimulate the lymph system to move out existing inflammation.  Tendons do not return to previous temperatures as quickly as muscles when cooled as they don't have the same blood supply or metabolism therefore making the legs very cold for long periods of time may actually cause an inflammatory response. The boots are designed to cool the tissue via the cold packs and slow down the blood flow to reduce inflammation but when combined with massage the blood flow is not completely restricted, this allows oxygen to be maintained to tired and damaged tissue allowing for a better recovery.

Intermittant pulse action of the massager avoids over stimulation of tissue.
The vibration with the cold packs can be applied 3 or 4 times daily for bruising but for the massage panels alone it is recommended for use no more than twice a day.
